Huge Pacers/Warriors trade!

in

The Golden State Warriors have agreed to trade Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod to the Indiana Pacers for Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell, NBA front-office sources tell ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

Wow, ok, I have Murphy and Jackson on teams... any opinions on how this will affect fantasy stats of these guys or their teammates?

Ha!

We just posted this. You beat us to the punch :P.
I'm very interested in seeing how this deal affects players.  I think Al Harrington might benefit the most.  They'll need his size and versatility.  They gave up a lot of bigs in Murphy and Diogu.

Potential starting lineups:

GS
C. Biedrins
F. Harrington
F. Pietrus/Jackson
PG. Davis
SG. Ellis/Jackson

It definitely gives them more matchup options.

Indiana
C. Murphy
F. O'Neal
F. Dunleavy/Granger
PG. Tinsley
SG. Daniels

Gives them more size.

Fun to watch

The Warriors are gonna be even more exciting! Murphy and Diogu are good, but they just don't fit into the Warriors offense.

Now that I see the lineups...

As I hoped, Murphy should finally start playing a bit more.  Hasn't Daniels been in the Pacer doghouse this year?  Hope he can make something out of a starting spot if he gets it.

Daniels

Yeah, he has.  But, I'm not sure who else they'd start at the two spot. What do you think? They could go really small and start Tinsley with Darrell Armstrong.  They could see how Granger or Dunleavy fairs at the two spot. Personally, I think either would get eaten alive there in a conference of quick guards.  Granger might be able to handle it.  What do you think?

If I were a betting man...

The only real bet I've ever won is that Starship Troopers would NOT make more money domestically than The Lost World.  Nerdy, yes, but a sure thing.

On the subject of starters, my money is on Philthy.  Daniels is likely.

I heard...

That Stephen Jackson was traded because the Pacers were upset at the negative influence he had on Danny Granger.  The Pacers took on more salaries and parted with the best player in the deal - Al Harrington.
